Video for the band Laço de Fita, Illustratios were hand made in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects, entirely without the use of artificial intelligence. Taking as reference the visual style of J. Borges’s cordel woodcuts, I presented the concept of the girl and the mermaid to the band. Two friends who meet but live in different worlds. Despite time and distance, they will forever be connected by the friendship and admiration they feel for each other.

Frames from the film
I created all the boards for every scene, using Adobe Illustrator. Then with the boards completed, they were put together in sequence in a timeline , to create an animatic.
Illustration and Design
I created the characters design, also the band and instruments. Starting with skecthing each character and then creating a sheet for each as well.
Rig and Animation
With all illustration ready, it is RIG time. I created a simple rig using Puppet Tools 3 and also Talking Head both in Adobe After Effects.
